Established in 1987 by BR Prajapati, Budhraj Rugs transformed the rugs industry by adopting a unique business model. Through direct collaboration with artisans, the company empowered these skilled individuals and their communities, providing sustainable livelihoods. This approach led to the production of high-quality rugs while making a positive impact on the lives of those involved.

Budhraj Rugs proudly stands as a family business with an astounding 700-year history. Founded by Mr. Budhraj Prajapti, who now serves as the company’s president, the business is a testament to the family’s enduring commitment to their craft.

The next generation actively contributes to the company’s success, with Mr. Omprakash and Mahendra serving as co-founders alongside their father. Together, they have played pivotal roles in the growth and expansion of Budhraj Rugs in India.

Mrs. Mamta, the talented middle child, assumes the crucial role of Design Director and has even established her own label, ‘FUTRI,’ adding a unique touch to the company’s offerings.Notably, Budhraj Rugs takes pride in its approach to community upliftment. Collaborating with 178 families, the company directly supports skilled artisans and weavers, providing them with sustainable livelihoods.
